America's Muslim community now has its own national safety network — built by one of our own, for every masjid in this country. Muslim Safety Network is the Ummah's answer to the question no one should have to ask.
Your voice shapes what we build — become a founder.
On May 18, 2026, security guard Amin Abdullah stood at the entrance of the Islamic Center of San Diego and gave his life protecting his congregation. A father of eight. A professional. A hero.
The Amin Abdullah Guardian Fund is the moral heart of this organization — providing permanent financial support to his family and to every future security professional killed or injured protecting a house of worship in America.

He played a pivotal role in preventing this from being much worse. His actions were heroic.
We are building the national standard — the certifying body, the intelligence network, and the government liaison that the American Muslim community has never had. Every masjid accredited. Every Muslim trained. Every institution protected.
Muslim Safety Network was built by someone who exists at the exact intersection this mission requires — sworn law enforcement leadership, technology leadership at national scale, and lived identity as an American Muslim.
Retired Chicago Police Commander with 30 years of service. As Commander of the 24th District — home to the largest Muslim population in Chicago — he led policing for one of the most diverse communities in the nation. As Director of Security for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, he ensured the safety of a sitting Vice President of the United States and the most influential leaders in American government, coordinating the response to multiple simultaneous security threats.
Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department 2016–2019. During his tenure, he appointed the first Muslim chaplain in CPD history — a milestone in the department's relationship with the Muslim community. The highest-ranking law enforcement credential in MSN's leadership.
A seasoned strategist, Ali brings a decade of enterprise leadership from Deloitte, where he scaled high-performing teams and complex organizational systems. He uniquely pairs this operational expertise with over two decades of grassroots service as an Imam, youth coordinator, and practicing therapist. By fusing corporate systems design with clinical empathy, Ali champions a human-centered approach to security — transforming national threat mitigation into a framework for holistic, psychological, and spiritual safety.
On May 18, 2026, Amin Abdullah stood at the door of the Islamic Center of San Diego with no national organization standing behind him.
The Muslim community of America must never let that happen again.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity (sadaqa jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them." — Sahih Muslim 1631
Your Himaya pledge embodies the first two. Physical security infrastructure — cameras, barriers, trained coordinators — continues protecting worshippers for years after your gift. Beneficial knowledge — our training programs, emergency plans, and platform — lives on in every security coordinator who uses them. Protecting the House of Allah is among the most honored acts in our deen. Islamic scholars classify contributions to masjid security under Sadaqa Nafilah, permissible for any purpose that benefits the community. The Himaya pledge qualifies as Sadaqa Jariyah — ongoing charity whose reward continues as long as the masjid stands protected.
Amin was a father of eight. He stood at the door. He had only his courage and his love for his community. The Himaya campaign is our promise that no security volunteer will ever stand alone again.
$12 a year. One pledge. Every masjid in America moves closer to the protection it deserves.
Muslim Safety Network is building America's Muslim community safety infrastructure — starting now, starting with you. Your voice shapes what we build. Become a founder.
